Orthotics and In-soles
The use of a custom arch-support is a non-invasive way to reduce or eliminate knee, lower back, hip or feet pain by improving structural alignment and/or restricting or enhancing motion. They restore walking and running patterns, and play an important role in the prevention and long term solution of many problems in the lower limbs. They work best when used in conjunction with restorative exercises recommended by your physiotherapist. Orthotics can be used to treat a variety of injuries including knee pain, bunions, shin splints, flat feet and plantar fasciitis. The orthotic devices we prescribe can vary from simple arch supports to customised insoles formed from plaster casts of the feet and made in a lab to produce a unique support of your foot.
